Hi everyone I have been trying to post one flower photo on Instagram every day. I think it is fun to just decide on my favorite for that day. Plus it's easy to find time for it! Feel free to join in! Today's #floweroftheday SDB Iris 'Raymond' ![]() |

The Iris' are beautiful. When I lived in Dumont, NJ, I visited the Presby Memorial Iris Gardens in Montclair, NJ. A must-see Iris smorgasborg for any Iris lover. http://presbyirisgardens.org/w... MoonShadows Farm: Good Eats & Treats from the Pocono Mountains |

Elena, that Columbine is so big. I planted Blue Double Winky Columbine seeds in my greenhouse two months ago, and the ones that germinated are only a couple of inches tall so far! I'm almost afraid to put them outside in the ground yet. I also had a very poor germination rate. I planted 54 cells and only a dozen germinated. Bought the seeds from Vermont Wildflower Farm. First seeds I ever bought from them that had such a poor germination rate. MoonShadows Farm: Good Eats & Treats from the Pocono Mountains |

I don't think I ever bought seeds from Vermont Wildflower Farm before. Which is strange since I buy seeds from everywhere! I got the seeds from a 2014 seed swap (I'll be collecting seeds this year for the 2018 swaps on this site) and wintersowed them 2016. I got 50% germination. I put the plants in the ground late 2016 and last year the plants grew huge! But except for the Origami series they don't bloom the first year. They bloomed like crazy this year though! I have 3 plants. Two are the color in the picture and the other is pink and purple. |
