My Lily of the Valley have always come up in Spring but until now have never flowered. This year I have an abundance of flowers, just wondering why they have started to flower this year?!

Perhaps they needed to mature and develop the underground resilience before putting energy into flowering. I wondered why my conference pear didn't fruit properly for a couple or few years until I found out it was normal behaviour.
