Great Photography J, I love the close-ups, wish I had good zoom, the few close-up I have are done on computer.
BTW, I have never even heard of Lion's Ear, where do you find all these beautiful plants?
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Mat.6:28-29
This Lion's Ear is listed as a Half Hardy Annual. Original seed purchased through T & M. This variety is listed at 6 to10 ft, but I believe mine topped the 10' mark. L. nepetifolia var. nepetifolia 'Staircase'.
A shorter perennial version is sometimes listed in Logees as L. leonurus. (more flowerful, only 3 to 3.5 ft high).
Both are fall bloomers (in my experience).
Thanks.
