I got this one a few weeks ago, don't know what type it is. I try to water it weekly with all my other plants. Today I've noticed that it has these weird brown spots on it, some leaves are rather dry and almost squishy to the touch. Help??

HI & welcome! It looks like an Echeveria. Maybe 'Perle von Nurnberg.' Does your pot have a drain hole in the bottom for excess water to escape? If it makes you feel any better, this particular plant is so often asked-about, so rarely shown as a thriving specimen, outside of areas with weather conducive to it living outside permanently.

Hi! The plant itself is in a plastic pot with a drain hole, the plastic pot being within the ceramic one without drain holes. Is it supposed to be on a plate or something instead then? Thank you!

Get it out of its pot and remove the leaves which are obviously soft (signs of rot). Is the stem affected? The plant needs a pot at least twice as wide as the current one. If you do repot now, be sure not to water for a week afterwards. What kind of light does it get?

Welcome!

Ah okay, I'll try to repot the moment I have time, very busy with exams right now. Its on my windowsill, which is facing the east. The stem seems to be okay though, its only the leaves.
