Hello I'm new here. I have a question concerning my lavender plant that I purchased a few weeks ago. It was doing really well at first, now it's leaves are starting to turn brown and it doesn't look healthy. I put it on top of my TV but moved it this morning to in front of my patio window it faces east. Was it not getting enough light? I was watering it when it felt dry to the touch. Not enough water? Can it be saved? Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Marilyn,
Lavender is very difficult to grow as a houseplant so I expect the changes you see are related to not providing the conditions it needs which includes full hot sun for a good 8 hours per day and rather dryish conditions. Even a south facing window exposure can't replicate what it would receive outdoors. These plants enjoy the climate of the Mediterranean which is difficult to replicate here in Canada, lol. Can you plant it outside? Not sure which variety you have but I expect it would be fully hardy in your zone. Good luck!

Hello Marilyn, that is a lovely lavender plant, but it does need more warmth and more direct sun.
