Thread OP
Queensland, Australia

Would anybody please help with advice on what kind of flexible shaped planter I can fit into this space so that I can grow some perennials? It would obviously need to be breathable

I'm thinking something like an elongated hessian potato grower but I can't find anything online so am hopeing somebody could suggest a DIY fix?

The area is only about 20cm deep x 15cm wide.

Many Thanks for any help

You can make growing bags out of landscape fabric or weed barrier fabric. Just cut it to the size you want and sow a seam. You could also try the non-woven fabric shopping bags from a local store.

I've seen Hessian (burlap) bags and fabric on amazon.

You might also ask your local grocer's if they have any potato/onion bags. Check at seed or feed companies. I've purchased rabbit pellets and also some cattle/livestock feeds in the past that I've come in breathable bags that could easily be turned into planters. Good luck in your search.
