So what are your favorite BBs? I think they are the perfect height, but the selection always seems so much smaller for them.

Mary ~ I don't know very many of them yet. I guess that you just have to keep checking with each vendor, as some will carry more than others.

You are right. Maybe some on this forum can mention which vendors have a wider selection.

I like Brown Lasso but it blooms sporadically here as well as Honky Tonk Hussy. I am going to take them up this year, change out the soil and replant them. Crossing Fingers! Crossing Fingers!

this one is soooooo much better than my photos show. This is in full sun. Shade makes it look almost black with wine highlights.

Then for pure saturation of color and reliable bloom there is Cranapple

and then there is this lovely that blooms faithfully...

And last, but not least, is this beauty Wild. Alas it became a victim of the fence tragedy. Sighing! I liked the color of it more than the ones in the database. Perhaps that is why it is named Wild. Smiling

"Everything Plus".

Actually, I don't think it's a border iris, but it's probably my shortest tall bearded iris. I've ordered a few more for next year--BECAUSE IT'S SHORTER--and also because it is one of my favorites.

It won the Dyke's Medal several years ago, and the grower in Neiswonger. (not sure of spelling).
