Hello everyone! How are you? Do you like carnivorous plants? I wanted to say you something about Growing Dionaea, because I was reading a lot about this plant. It is one of the most popular carnivorous plants. It is really easy to grow, because you need to remember only 3 things: 1. Plant needs a lot of sun. 2. Plant must be sitting in pure water. 3. If the plant is not catching its own food, it needs to be fed in the traps with live insects. Have you got one in your house? |

Welcome. Do you have any first hand experience growing them? Venus Flytrap I believe. Very popular as far as sales go. I do wonder if many survive in peoples houses. Gene |

Venus Flytraps are not houseplants. Some people grow them indoors but they don't last long indoors. They need 6+ hours of direct Sun a day and indoor Sun isn't as strong as outdoor. AND they need 3-4 months of winter dormancy. Water with distilled water, rainwater or reverse osmosis water only. NO tap water (unless the TDS is below 50ppm) or other bottled waters. Taken care of properly they will multiple easily. Tom |
