I have pencil eraser size holes that appear every morning throughout my garden. Whatever it is doesn't seem to be eating anything, but I thought they may have been last year. I have no idea.

You may have Jerusalem Crickets. If so, they look creepy but are some of the good guys.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost

That would make sense, as that is the garden area where we both spread our decaying grass trimmings and have planted potatoes for many years! As long as they are good, then I'm good too! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Much appreciated!
Hi @Ekwsmom
I am wondering if you would have Jerusalem Crickets in Tacoma, WA. I think they wouldn't do well in areas with higher rainfall, as it would drown them out during out heavy rainy season.
The JC does love to eat potatoes, so that could be a problem if you are growing potatoes.
