This is growing in my daughter's yard in northern Virginia (zone 7a).
Does anyone recognize it?

I'm as certain as a woodies guy can be that you have a Rumex sp. there. It looks different than the most common one found here in the Ohio River valley region, but all the other ID hallmarks match.
