I'm not sure what it is but it is growing too close to the pavers. I'd remove it.

So I just realized I have a full plant of this same stuff, duh! I thought this (see picture) was going to be a peony because it emerged from the ground like my other confirmed peony that's currently in full bloom. Does this help at all? Still no sign of any buds on this, just keeps getting taller.

Ok. I'll go with Joe Pye Weed. Wasn't 100% convinced because the pics of it online seemed to have narrower leaves. Also maybe I was a tad in denial. Not sure I love it. Flowers look a little scraggly.

Lots of plants that people love have scraggly flowers.
Ever examine crape myrtle? Ugly!

Thing about eutrochium... Butterflies love it!
Most of us love butterflies....
