Hi,
I got this monstera for free but I'm concerned with some of these brown areas and spots behind one leaf. It was in a bright hallway that got direct light at some point in the day - is it just sunburn? Or is something else going on. Thanks a bunch!

It is always hard to tell without seeing a photo that shows the entire plant, including its pot. That said, I don't think you have a serious or ongoing problem.

Thanks Will! If it would help, I can take a picture of the whole thing for you?

Yes. Sometimes a photo of the entire plant can reveal something significant not previously, mentioned. And sometimes not!

It's definitely just sunburn, clean edges without yellow around them means it won't spread, keep direct sunlight off of monstera leaves in the future.
