I recently bought this plant and no one could tell me what it is. It looks like a Desert Rose but has thorns...

Its a Pachypodium, maybe saundersii

I think your lovely plant is a variety of Pachypodium but I'm not sure which one. We have quite a few listed here in our database with photos for comparison: https://garden.org/plants/brow...

Hopefully someone will be along shortly and be able to give you a more exact ID.
