This question is being thrown out there to only those of you who have grown BOTH of these two iris. Which one do you like the best?

Lady Friend has been around longer, is supposed to be more of a garnet-rose, and is higher ranked on the Tall Bearded popularity poll.

Dynamite is lower ranked on that poll, but hasn't been around as long. It is described as a truer red.

My space is very limited. I can't buy both. So those of you who DO have both, please give me some input on them. For instance, which one is more vigorous? Which one is going to blend better in a garden in which yellows and oranges are avoided? Which one do you simply like better? Let's see whether there is any consensus on these two "reds."

I grow both. They're very different to my eye. Dynamite being redder. You'd be hard-pressed to find anything else like Ladyfriend.. It's unique. Not red, not quite crimson...There are some subtle color variations going on... Dynamite has been a better grower for me, but I think it's about the location... I wouldn't get rid of either. Love them both!

I grow both Lady Friend and Dynamite. Both are very vigorous irises - I've grown both of them for a long time and they both have survived a certain amount of neglect very well. Personally, I like Dynamite better because I think it has a better form.
