Hydrangeas Peonies Celebrating Gardening: 2015 Plant Identifier Garden Ideas: Master Level
In celebration of their retirement, Bannister Gardens released several new peonies.

I purchased 6 of these new intros in 2014.

First to bloom this year is Paeonia 'Bannister Morning Lilac'

This flower certainly redefines the lilac color. This is the first bloom since planted in 2014. What a pleasant surprise!

Another recent bloom is Paeonia 'Bannister Ballarena de Saval'

Described as 28" tall, semi-double, pale lavender with darker lavender flares.

It is semi-double and the height is accurate, however we have a new shade of lavender...

You may perceive the color to be hot pink, but isn't that just an illusion?

I am pretty surer that the one labeled Ballarena de Saval is indeed Sonoma Welcome.

However, the one labeled Sonoma Welcome does not seem to match the description or photos of Ballarena
