A mystery Sedum has started growing in the garden. Does anyone recognize this plant? In the second photo, it reminds me of something out of Dr Zeuss's picture books. ![]() ![]() |

I think I've found it! It seems to match with photos and descriptions of Sedum forsterianum. Here are two more recent photos. ![]() ![]() |

What a strange and wonderful looking plant. So this started growing in your garden? I'm surprised that it made it through your B.C. winter. I think it's a keeper! |

Thank you. Yes, I'm delighted with it, and glad it likes it here! |

Looking at more images of Sedum, I found one called Sedum liebmannianum that is perhaps a better match, but still not quite right. When I googled Sedum liebmannianum, I found this photo by Stan Shebs, and two other photos that he had taken. The flower stalks on his examples are much thinner than mine, and my yellow blossoms seem to be formed in a rounder version. I obviously have a lot to learn from the Sedum kingdom. ![]() Does anyone have a clearer idea of what my Sedum could be? |

Hi Nora, Here are some great photos of Petrosedum fosterianum (Sedum fosterianum). http://www.sedumphotos.net/v/s... Here are some that might match up, the Petrosedum rupestre. https://garden.org/plants/sear... And this one. Stonecrop (Petrosedum forsterianum 'Silver Stone') |

I've got it in my garden too. I can't find the tag (of course) but I got it at Home Depot. It seems to be happy anyplace and I pull quite a bit up every year. It seems to me the name had gold or golden in it. Maybe. ![]() Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost President: Orchid Society of Northern Nevada Webmaster: osnnv.org |

Would it be 'Gold Select' Daisy? That is an awesome sedum. |
