Thread OP
Oklahoma (OK)
Planted 2 Admiration Barberry shrubs 1 week ago. Appeared to be doing well but I just spread branches and noticed inner leaves are dead. Outer leaves appear to be healthy. Am I overwatering? 2 Orange rocket barberry shrubs planted at the same time look entirely healthy. Noticed when planting there were beetle like insects in the soil.

I think that's probably normal for inner leaves to shed. If the plant appears to be healthy and you like the way it looks you have nothing to worry about.
