Ginny and Valerie - Thanks for the comments!

Larry - Julie Newmar is a very good parent. That seedling is one that has the stats to register. But I hesitate because it fades badly when temps are higher than 92 and takes on the tan of its base color.

Outstanding clumps Debra. I knew you were holding back Rolling on the floor laughing
LOVE that amazing seedling also. I would register it. Most fade in that kind of heat anyway.

Here are a few from this week. Not the prettiest or most flowery clumps, but I like 'em.

This is Jury's Out (again, sorry) fronted by an Olallie seedling called Sophie (VT).
Thumb of 2018-08-31/Lyshack/2adafb

This one was originally Olallie seedling Type Alpha, but over the years, I think a few seeds have gotten mixed in, so there are several different looking flowers in the clump. eh. Shrug!
Thumb of 2018-08-31/Lyshack/4c05ce

This one's from today. The main clump is Fred's Red, a real nice very late. It's fronted by that Olallie Type A clump and that's Mascara snake in the background. This is my favorite section for late daylilies. Plenty of buds left on all three to make it into September a little ways.

Maybe it's a stretch to call these 3-bloom pics clump shots, but this far into September, I'm fairly certain these will be my last. So I'm claiming clump victory. Smiling

This is an unregistered Olallie seedling that they sell in their awesome Very Late section. It's usually the last of the Olallies that bloom for me. This one is called +19-30 9-29-04 EL and looked like this on Sunday.

Thumb of 2018-09-12/Lyshack/0e8aa3

And on the same day, my own seedling, 02-064-01, pulled off a 3-bloom day, even with only one scape. One of it's parents is the Olallie seedling above. Coincidence?

I am sure that "clump" is a technical term.

Does anyone have the definition?
