SUB-THREAD !!

CLUMPETTES, or CLUMPLETTES, or CLUMPKINS, or CLUMPLINGS, or CLUMPSIES, well enough of that.

Not great photos because I have to get them early or they look like deadhead time because of lack of moisture and glaring sun plus the light is not particularly good..

............UNFINISHED!
I have a couple of additional ones but technology has thwarted me (its primary mission on this earth.) And two hours of uploading?? has failed to add the next one.

For a brief side trip please check my latest post in weather in your garden and it may enlighten you as to the condition of my garden.

I love the clump photos, it is always nice to see what a daylily is capable. I don't care how plain a flower is, it can be stunning in a group.

Nice clumps everyone.
Diana your noid might possibly be Strutter's Ball or its offspring Round Midnight. Any of those names ring a bell ? Whistling Whistling

Mike, thanks for the leads. I know it's not Round Midnight, I have that one and the color is not the same. I'll go look up Strutter's Ball...

Round Midnight for me- first year blooms- bonus plant from Gilbert H Wild's last summer. Gotta assume they tagged it correct (well, I'd like to!)...

Thanks, Mary. Yes, the corn in this field his record tall this year. Thanks to all the moisture and hot temps. It is not our field but it used to be. DH sold the home farm to his nephew so that it would stay in the family which is over 100 years. Other farmers/friends rent from the nephew.

My Round Midnight from G/Wild. Initially got this one for the reported high bud count - so far not good. Location I must confess is not great.
