I could almost swear I used to buy an herbicide that would kill crabgrass only in fescue lawns that wouldn't kill broadleaf weeds. Just crabgrass and other annual weed grasses.
Did I dream that? I can't find it now if it ever existed. I may just be mistaken.

Some products are listed here. The one I know of that works well on crabgrass is Dimension but it kills some broadleaf weeds as well.

They're not all available for all uses everywhere so you might want to ask your local Extension office what they suggest.

I did call DoMyOwnPestControl. You'd think if anyone had it they would. But the CS rep said 'no'.
I'll call extension office. Didn't think of that. I tip my hat to you.

Well. It occurred to my semi-senile mind that I already had the answer all along.
I was asking because I wanted to kill crabgrass in some annual/perennial flower beds without the tedious time-consuming chore of kneeling down and pulling the little devils out by hand. Not necessarily for my lawn because the only broadleaf I like in my grass is white clover. And I don't mind killing some of that here and there because it has started reseeding everywhere in just the last two years. Never before. It is coming up everywhere and it never used to.
So. I remembered I have Ornamec (fluazifop). It will work perfectly.
Sorry to bother everyone. Maybe I dreamed it.
