Are all of the photos for correct? The main photo for peony E. superba seems incorrect.

This is what the tag name had on when I purchased it. It would not be the first time a tag was wrong. I really have no idea what the correct name should be then. Yes, move It. Thank you for finding the error.

I think it is okay as several look like it.

Photos may have been taken at different development times of the flowers and/or the plants.

What specifically makes you think that it is not correct ?

Or maybe it is not a stable cultivar ?

From Adelman's Peony Gardens:

Some photos in the data base look it while others not. I will keep my eye out for it when I visit Adelman's tomorrow.

I think a lot of the peonies labeled coming from the Dutch to mass market here are commonly mislabeled. The average big box store buyer sees it as a pink or as a white and that's the end of it. Also of note, different stages of bloom can vary in the colors that are more or less pronounced vs. faded. These can also vary in different parts of the country, with temperatures and soil differences, to a degree. The overall form though, is something that does not seem to vary in an established plant. Comparing photos of a mature plant to a field photo from a reputable grower like Adelmans, Solaris Farms, Hidden Springs etc is a good comparison. First year blooms can be less full as the plant is not get established.

Original image in question seems to have been removed, the discussion is about this entry Chinese Peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Edulis Superba')

I'll say that it is pretty obvious that there are a few different varieties under that designation.

I'm afraid I couldn't find and get photos of it at Adelman's on Saturday. My time was consumed working on the 5/10 K Peony walk. It would have been nice because there would likely have been buds in all stages of bloom.
