I checked the box for 'Creative Commons'. Will the system prompt me for the photographer's name? Or do I put it in one of the other fields? I've never done this, but was following a thread about a plant with no picture so searched online and found one. Read through the Creative Commons blurb, and it appears OK to load to this site as it is not commercial and no one will benefit financially from the photo. I did note the photographer's name, but so far it is just sitting in a temporary folder on my computer. I want to add it correctly so no one's toes are stepped on. Thanks.

I also note that there are 4 check boxes under the 'Creative Commons' check circle - do I just check them all? It would be nice to have a 'hover' option for these to explain to folks what each is for.

In the captions field add, "Photo courtesy of xxx". You can also add a website name if you want, for instance I add Wikipedia when I add images from that site.
The options should be stated with the original image itself. If unsure, at minimum, check attribution and share alike.

Thanks Sue. I was also a bit confused by the sizing - when I clicked to save the file, it gave me 3 choices. I just picked the middle one, I forget what the numbers were as they are meaningless to me. If there is a 'best practice' for uploading size, perhaps that could be noted somewhere? Final question: can I somehow upload direct from the web site, and if so how? This came from Wikimedia. I ended up saving to my personal computer, uploading as I normally do, then deleting the image. Seems like a lot of steps.

Right click the image and select copy image address. When uploading, paste it into the Upload a URL photo option.

The system here automatically shrinks images larger than 1024 pixels wide, so if there is an option close to 1024x(height), pick that one. Otherwise, go with the original/full-size version and the system here will take care of it.
