This is the 3rd bloom from this plant this year, the rest have been normal looking, but this one looks a lot different. Looks likes another bloom is in it, and has a white thing on the pedal. Last photo is a normal bloom of the same flower

Yes, those are petaloid stamens. That's how some doubles are formed. If you look closely you can see anthers on the petaloid tissue and a reduced number of normal stamens.

I have a few plants that do that regularly, mine never actually double. Now Buddy's Gloria is a double and it will often look similar and often have single blooms.

Thanks, well that one is definitely a keeper then. I was excited to see it today, it is beautiful. I was just shocked the other blooms were singles.

I like it! It reminds me of one from my garden called Topgun's Molten Lava. It's definitely an interesting look and a nice change of pace from all the other blooms. I think it is, anyway.

Heres a new one, it has no antlers, guessing it was from a seed that dropped there, I did not plant any seeds or seedlings in that spot.

Also the same with this one, I did not plant anything in this spot, however this one looks a lot like this other one, and I know it had a few seed pods on it last year, when my daughter gave it me.

This is the one my daughter gave me.
