My DA suffered from heat and water deprivation It was growing nice new leaves and looked really healthy After the very dry spell (I had some family emergency and my plants were not watered) I came back and found that all the leaves on my WC and Falstaff were limp and fell Now all I have is dried up bud eyes on both my roses which are in containers
Today I found this on my WC Is this a sucker or new growth ?
Name: Ingrid Northeast San Diego County (Zone 11a)
Are the leaves considerably smaller than what WC usually has? If so, it might be a sucker, but the only way to be absolutely certain is to see a bloom.
I agree with Ingrid. Without knowing where your bud union was planted, and without seeing some leaves at least on that new growth, I wouldn't like to say.
I suspect sucker, but I'd say give it a week or two, at least.
Thank you
So I waited to see what it would be like and the leaves are the same Coming up really nice I guess this was a survivor !!!
Da Falstaff Not so much. The branches are all black at the bottom but I'm still waiting for a miracle Hey you never know !!
