This is a pretty plant but sadly only flowered every other year for me in the UK so finally culled it, shame as when it did flower it was lovely but just too unreliable here, very slow to increase too.

the blossom on this does not fully open. Maybe it does for some people, but not here in MO.

Pony has been a good performer in my garden. Two fans were planted several years ago and it has multiplied fairly well. For the first 5 years, its location was very shady. We removed and pruned some trees and the location now receives quite a bit more sun. However, it has bloomed every year and the blooms open well. It is a very pretty bi-colour. I have used the pollen, but have not set pods on it. Fourteen other cultivars were very slow to come up this spring after our harsh winter and cold spring, but Pony came up early and is growing well. Here is a photo taken this morning.
