I have planted so many beautiful colored Columbine plants to have them turn and ALL come up every year ORANGE. Is my soil needing something. My latest plant was planted 25 feet from where there were orange Columbines if that matters. Thank you

Welcome!

Could they be crossing with the wild columbine, Aquilegia canadensis, or even be A. canadensis?

Were the seeds in the same packet or did you have packets each of a different colour?

The original plants should be whatever you planted. But after that ..... Columbines are very promiscuous. Smiling

Are the flowers all the same on every plant and were they originally?

It's possible that they died out and that only the orange ones reseeded themselves so actually, you've got all new plants.

And BTW, Welcome! to the site!

Would you like to post a picture of your columbines? Pictures can be very helpful.
