Thread OP
Zionsville, Indiana 46077
I have a 40' row of Caroline red raspberries. They were planted in 2009 (from Nourse Farms), have produced abundantly over the years, and I've maintained as a fall crop (cutting all canes in late winter). I mulch in the early spring and provide 13/13/13 at the same time. This year, they simply have not taken off (canes should be 2-3 feet tall, but are low growing 3-4", spotty), but no signs of disease or insect damage. Is ~10 years what is to be expected from a planting, so time to dig up and replant? Advice appreciated. The only other clue is 3-4 very cold days in early January @ -15 F, but I thought raspberries were extremely cold tolerant. I'm in central Indiana (Zone 5B). Thank you
