My last TB iris to open was 'On Deck.' It opened May 17th. A couple of my 'World Domination' NoIDs still had blooms on this date. I am in Zone 7a, East TN.

One other TB that has been near the very end of the season the last two years is Dipped In Dots. This year it was even later than Strawberry Shake.

I agree Lovely together.

Lucky you Tom. Wish mine would bloom earlier because then it wouldn't get zapped by the heat.

Wishing I'd ordered Dipped in Dots!

Does anyone have a Fancy Ideas to trade? Mine made only one increase, and I like this one very much.

@janwax

Jan, Fancy Ideas didn't bloom this year, so I don't recall how it's doing. I'll check on it and let you know.

Edited to add:
Just checked on it and it as 4 increases, so I'll send you one Jan. Please remind me in late July.

I suppose the late season in irises is in June. The weather is usually mild before June and then the heat sets in making the blooms last for shorter periods of time.

I have compiled a list, from the pictures I took since June 1st. These are not when they started blooming, however. For instance, Pink Unicorn started blooming on 5-18, and the last picture I took of it was 6-4! Trillion had been blooming since 5-23, and the last picture was 6-3.

Dates of last bloom:

June 2
Harvest of Memories

June 3
Beverly Sills
Orbiter
Thornbird
Trillion

June 4
Picture Bouquet
Pink Unicorn

June 5
Cat's Eye (SDB)
Awesome Alex

It is currently June 12th, and the following are still blooming as of this morning:

Celebration Song
Chasing Rainbows
Elegance in Blue
Grape Expectations
Gypsy Romance
No Place Like Home
Silent Majesty
Strange Brew
Swingtown
White Extra
