Can anyone please help me identify this hemerocallis? It isn't in my database and the tag has become lost. The scape is about 27" tall and the bloom is about 4-1/2 to 5" wide.

Thanks.

Looks a little like South Seas.
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Doesn't look like Daylily (Hemerocallis 'South Seas') to me, wrong bloom shape and no band.
Too many daylilies with similar coloring to make an ID unless you have a list to go by.

Doesn't look like South Seas to me either, mostly because of the flower shape, but thanks. It does have a band, but it's fairly faint.

Could that be 'Collector's Item'?

Actually, I don't think the images are correct for Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Collector's Item') which is a 1954 intro registered as a tomato red self. Your shows a more modern orange and yellow daylily with a red band.
@2Dogsmother, if you are unsure as to the ID of those 3 images, I'll have to move them.

Not 'Collector's Item' though I wish it was. Used to have that one in my previous location, didn't bring any of my daylilies with me and haven't been able to find that one.

I only posted this photo in this query. I'm sure of my other three photos posted today. Thanks.

Please click on Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Collector's Item') those are three images you added that are not correct that I was talking about. They are not tomato red self.

Ah...I see what you're saying. These photos are from my garden in Angier, NC (no longer live there) and I was pretty certain they were Collector's Item as that's how the photos are labelled. If you think they are incorrect, please remove them. Regarding the photo I posted in this question, I now have additional blooms on that plant which are an entirely different color. In addition, 'Copperhead' is now blooming elsewhere in the garden and, comparing the bloom photos, bloom size and scape height, I think the plant I wanted identified is 'Copperhead'.

You have any ideas as to what that variety might have been? I know that it was marked 'Collector's Item' when I bought and planted it in my previous location - kept photos, a spreadsheet, and drawings of what I'd planted in my beds there. Thanks. (Whatever it was it was very pretty!)

Sorry, with over 87,000 registered daylilies, it's rare to ID from photos unless it's extremely distinctive.

I thought that but also thought it was worth a try. Thanks anyway.
