I saw someone's post in another site that had a firestick in a hanging pot that was growing down like weeping. Is this trained or a diff variety? Would love to do this with one of my plants

Pencil Cactus (Euphorbia tirucalli 'Firesticks') has an upright habit. The growth habit of the plant in your photo looks more like Rhipsalis to me. Here are two photos from our database fro comparison:
