Is there a way to delete a post? |

You can erase every thing in it by hitting the edit button (in the line of other buttons at the bottom of the dialogue box) and deleting your text. I don't think you can get rid of the empty box though. Maybe someone else know how... Ok, thanks. I just posted something in the wrong forum and wanted to delete the old one. |

In that case, we will call in the Marines (or moderators in this case): @Australis or @Calif_Sue, can you help please? Yes, you can have it deleted. Scroll to the bottom (that is, just above the "post a reply" box) and click "Suggest a Change." Click, "Delete the thread." You'll be asked if you're sure, and have the option to explain why you want it deleted. Once all that is done, someone will review your request and probably delete it. Much better than leaving an empty box! ![]() AKA Joey. |

Never noticed the delete option - I just suggested in future to got to Suggest a Change and request a move to the preferred forum in this kind of situation. Then you don't need to delete and repost. |
I deleted the extra thread in the Plant ID Forum. |

I never noticed that option either. Maybe the delete option is only there for mods. I'm a moderator of the Plant ID Forum, so I had the option to delete it. |

It's there for everyone but regular members don't actually delete the thread, they (we) just request that it be deleted. The powers that be do the actual deleting. ![]() AKA Joey. |
