I just got here and am glad to read the cautions about sudden lower temps.
I have sprayed my emerging lilies but not many are up.

We havehad snow in April here. I have that cloud of doubt that we have seen the last of cold weather.

Oh goody! I'll have to go to that just so I can eat my way through the cities. Cafe Latte, here I come! Green Grin!
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket?

I am glad they are not popping up here. Rolling my eyes. Temps have taken a nose dive and we expect frost this week. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
What a big change in temps already today. So glad they all stayed hidden yet. Unfortunately the flowering trees will suffer. Sad

I think it is supposed to get cooler here next week also. It really has been unbelievably warm.

I will cover my gardens to protect against frost on Tuesday night. Just another thing to worry about.

The frost will come tonight so lilies are covered. Not enough covers so some will have to fend for themselves.

I never cover mine. Once they start growing they are on their own.

Same thing here that our temps are expected to dip to 20's tonight.

However, nothing has come up as far as I can tell and it is so windy here today which makes the wind chill feel like we are in the teens. Sad

Lucky you with no lilies showing. I was so excited to see mine, now I am killing myself getting them protected from the frost. Freezing means no blooms this year.

Same wind here to Julia. My eyes tear up and I cant see what I am doing. Its just a day to stay inside.

Oh they are so much cheaper plus you get a better selection if you just buy bulbs. This is the right time of year to plant them. Buy them now and plant and you will have blooms this summer.
