Around 1.5cm long, didn't move so was probably dead. It landed on the floor from somewhere on the ceiling above me I believe.

I believe this quote should be attributed to Saint Francis de Sales, Bishop of Geneva. Mary Englebreit has also used it extensively, unattributed.
