looks good

If i can give you a piece of advice....that cloth pot is great BUT there is a good chance that in moving that back and forth you could break tiny roots as they develop and you might want to stake it so it dosnt move around. I see you have rocks on top of the rooting medium and that most likely keeping it from moving around but going in and out im afraid your going to have problems with it rooting or in a reasonable amount of time.

how do you like those pots?? i have considered them but still use cheap plastic or clay pots

Thanks Michael Smiling It is my first time to use these fabric pots, I saw them on a garden show a week ago.

So far, I like that it really has very good drainage, and I need not puncture holes at the bottom, the fabric is porous enough already. I like that it has handles, so easy to move the pot, and being a black propylene fabric, I hope the color adds enough warmth on the area for the roots without cooking them inside Big Grin Being a very porous fabric, I am hoping that potential root aeration will be in its favor.

I'd say everything under observation, noting what is good and bad with this type of container. I am trying to test as well how long the structure of this container will last too.

I think all your points are great things and im sure you will like them for those i cant wait for updates about them. It would be great if you had 2 of the same plants and can do a test to see if it would help or hinder growth and durability vrs cost

keep us informed of progress

Just posting an update of my plumie cuttings. Photos taken today 16May2012

This is the cutting I got from my aunt this New Year:

This is the freebie cutting I got from Hetty:
So far doing good:

There is another freebie cutting but had to get chopped off a bit, got some rotting, so it is much shorter now, but there is still some viable part, so will set it aside and observe a little more.

Oh it is SO hard to NOT TOUCH when rooting them but take it from me DON'T TOUCH haha even if you dont water it to much i moved mine a few to many times and i know it twisted small feeder roots right off!!

THEY are looking great just sit back and relax it looks to me like its about to shoot for the sky. I can not believe how some take so long to start a good green tip and all the sudden you have 4-6 leaves!!!

hope you get an info that is the ICING on the cake!!!

Just some July updates on my 3rd attempt project...as slow as the leaves form and tries to start unfurling, but much better than previous attempts so far:

My very much shortened cutting seems to have recovered nicely and is also trying to make its leaves:
