Laura,

Welcome!

I only grow one of the iris you listed, My Lady's Manor.
I planted it last year. It performed very well this spring. It increased well and I was very impressed by its heavy substance. I would recommend getting it!

and its progeny.
are growing side-by-side in pots, in my garden. the "son" out performed its parent. but it could have been because 'bj' was planted in a much shallower pot and because i had gotten the latter, earlier. Shrug! Hilarious!

both are heartthrobs, but i will have to let go of 1 eventually. Sighing!

Laura,

I planted Commanding Presence last year. The flower is not very big, but has very good form, IMHO. It only put out one increase. I've seen clump shots of it that look very pretty. I planted it in a raised bed, so it had good growing conditions. I think it is worth another year. Smiling

Hmmm, you would think with a name like that, the flowers would be large and that it would be taller than 31"! They do try to explain in the description that it is referring to the flower form and clump, but still a strange name choice to me! Maybe I'll wait and see if the child goes on sale next year, that would help me eliminate one.

I'm not sure how I feel about Billowing Waves either - in the clump shots, the "billowiness" yields a beautiful impact - when viewed from afar. But the close-ups show floppy standards. In this case, it does look like the name is a perfect fit for the flower!

Laura, Just Witchery is a favorite. I have it growing in 3 different beds!
Winter's Smile is a gorgeous iris.
There were some medians that appealed, but I really spent my whole budget...and then some, earlier in the season!
let the mystery be

Okay everyone, here's my final list. I need my head examined for this!! But I figure after I ordered so many singles - next year the sale will probably require multiples of everything.

First bed - warm colors:

I started the year saying l would only place one small order with Superstition, and ended up adding others. I thought I was through - until this post popped up. Just too tempting!!!

Thank you Leslie for posting the list! And thanks to everyone for sharing their favorites! So many beauties. I especially love: Seasons in the Sun, Absolute Truth, Daffy Duck, Ruby Tracery, Speak No Evil, Color and Call to Danger. (The ones I did not order will go on next year's list!)

So I placed my first order. It arrived Wednesday.

Thank you Bonnie! I definitely have a "type" - black, violet, orange, "sunset colors" - but trying to branch out a little this year.

Is it too late to post my previous orders (from the last two-three weeks) on the "2018 ......... I got a box!!!" thread? Wasn't sure. Still trying to figure things out!
