My first year with this cutie blooming. It sent up 2 scapes and gave me some decent blooms. It bloomed on July 9 in zone 5B. So for me mid-season.

I look forward to seeing this plant grow and mature and hopefully lots and lots of scapes in the future.

I planted this in April 2022. I put in two extra fans later in May that got dug up by voles and promptly died. So, no bloom this summer and still 2 slightly rusty fans in October.

2023 update. This plant hates its spot. Still no bloom and down to three fans.

By April 2024, BBK was down to two fans so I moved it to a new sunny location. It responded by sending up three blooms from July 17/22. I expect next year it will finally have a normal bloom. The blooms are cute and the plant is small, a front of the border plant.
