Yes, leaping with wine sounds perfect. Big Grin
Looking good, Lindsey. I would think it is always a good idea to try different backgrounds and see what strikes your fancy.

Around here wonders never cease, I managed to re-bloom a Mitoniopsis. This is Milt. Arthur Cobbledick 'Springtime' HCC/AOS. This one is faintly fragrant, very similar to miniature Cyclamen.

And I posted the tiny Schoenorchis fragrans into the miniature thread.

Congrats. I never could re-bloom a Miltoniopsis! Does that make it an annual?? Rolling on the floor laughing

Mine bloomed once, then died. It didn't even make it a year; rather about 6 months. Does that make it a semi-annual? Hilarious!

NIce new digs...

Hi everyone, things have been very busy lately and rather slow on the orchid front, so I naven't been visiting much lately. Things do seem to be picking up in the greenhouse now with lots of spikes and a few new blooms. Nice blooming everyone. I can't get my photos to post from work, so I'll try when I get home.

Looking forward to it. I'm pretty sure we can't post pics directly from flickr anymore. But we can use links.

I took this shot for a FB group to show how vanda roots really don't like to just hang down but rather attach to something. My vandas were wrapped and survived the winter just nicely. With other orchids I was not so lucky.

I guess we're just hanging out in different places Jim. I see they don't even have a Bromeliad section on this web site. After last winter I took a look around and after losing so much, I saw the broms were doing just fine. I was quite disgusted with the whole tropical gardening scene. I'm over it now but I lost thousands of dollars in plants and the labor. Anyway, I built six large raised bromeliad beds and am learning about these plants as we go along. I like to see my plants in the ground in the garden and I hope I'm not just whistling dixi when I place my hopes in bromeliads in these changing climate times. I know broms don't belong here but here's a shot of one of my beds anyhow.

PS just about all of my broms are individually tagged just like orchids.

I guess everyone knows the close relationship bromeliads have with orchids. They grow right next to each other in virtually the same places - the trees.
