My family had a wholesale nursery for many years in So. Calif . We sold retail only at three big county fairs each year , where I met Dee Bennett. She was a hybridizer of fancy mini roses and was such a wonderful person . She and her husband Herb owned the Tiny Petals nursery in Chula Vista CA. This nursery consisted of a small lot which had her house and garage, and every other inch was covered with the most amazing mini's in every stage of growing . When I visited her she would drop everything to spend time talking and educating about her favorite passion, "Mini Roses" . I don't know how many mini's can be attributed to her , but since she has been gone , I have come to understand that she was a real force in the early roots of Mini Roses. Jean Kenneally , Herbie (for her husband ), My Sunshine , Rosy Dawn , X-Rated , and Ultimate Pleasure, Irresistible, Hanky Panky are just a few of my favorite varieties .
Peace , quietness , tranquility , space , a place apart , this is my garden .
