James posts on his seed auctions the following:

Shipping will be $3.50 domestic and $10.00 to Canada and $13 dollars to other destinations. Sorry with restrictions I can't ship to Australia.

Hi Ronny,

Are there specific varieties that you are looking for, have you tried the European daylily nurseries? I have used Boitzer (Germany) and Eurodaylily (Belgium) and would recommend both.

Hi Nikki,

Sorry for this late reply, we have been away for a few days.
I know the two nurseries you mention, I regularly drive to Eurodaylily to collect my ordered plants, it's only a half hour drive for me.
The owner Paul is very friendly and it is always nice to have a chat with him about daylilies.
I think Paul does have the largest collection of newer daylilies in Europe, he expects to release his first introductions in 2020.
A few weeks ago I ordered Purple Ninja (Pierce 2017) from Paul, I can not wait to pick it up in the spring .....
Do you have any favorite nurseries in Great Britain Nikki?

@Ronny07,

Hi Ronny,

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, sadly there are very few daylily nurseries in Britain and they only have older varieties, I am particularly fond of small and mini flowered daylilies so if I want something other than the real oldies I have to look for it in Europe, have done quite a bit of pre-Brexit daylily panic buying lately and have bought from both Paul and Gerald and also Martin at hobbykwerkerij in Holland but I am guessing that those markets will be closed to me also after next month Sad

Is it anything in particular that you are looking for? Have you tried Stefano Peroni in Italy? He is not going to be around for a wee while though so he might not be able to answer any messages for a while.

Hi Nikki,

I saw in your plant list that you are indeed specialized in small and mini Hemerocallis varieties, you have apparently already built a nice collection!
Do you think that the import and export of Hemerocallis between Great Britain and Europe will be banned after the Brexit?
Hopefully it will not come that far .....
Actually, I have recently become very interested in the offspring of Tet. Rose F. Kennedy, automatically you come naturally to Guy Pierce ...
Some other hybridizers have an offer here as well but Floyd Cove has a big lead in this segment. (but that's my judgment of course)
Paul has several of these cultivars in his list but unfortunately most of them are sold out. Sad
I do not think Peroni offers anything from Tet. RFK offspring, not at the last time I visited his website.

Hi Ronny,

I don't think that it will be banned to import daylilies from Europe but if the powers that be decide that phyto certificates will be necessary it will be too expensive for most buyers and sellers to do. I think (and hope) that it will be more likely that an additional tarrif or tax will be imposed if we leave the EU with no deal. So it will be more expensive but hopefully still possible.

I was just wondering if the UK will be doing a lot more trading with the US, maybe daylilies will be able to be imported?

"Importing and exporting plants and plant products if the UK leaves the EU without a deal" Brexit document from DEFRA:

Larry, since the current ban on importing daylilies from the USA relates to a plant disease they may carry, I doubt increased trade will make a difference.

Seed sales to Australia
I have a lady bidding on seeds right now, she told me that she bought seeds from another seller and they arrives safe and sound.
I haven't shipped her seeds that she won from me yet because she is still bidding, but I have to trust that she is right.
I sent seeds to Germany, South Africa, Taiwan, and New Zealand last year, 2018 with no problems.
Only country that I know for sure about is no shipping to Russia

I have had no problems with having seeds sent from the USA to Britain. Has been very easy.
