this is a fairly vigorous, trouble free climber and flowers profusely. Still has the odd flower on it now, in November. The friend who has it has forgotten the name and I'm no great expert on roses. Many thanks for any suggestions!

Renate: Ironically, it may be CL. "Dublin Bay"(McReady(sp)) ? Can't get to search engine, but when I can, I will reply again. I have at least four CL. "Dublin Bay" and always add one or two more each year. Cheers!

Renate, I really think you might have the Kordes climber Rosarium Uetersen. Some of the pics online appear to be dead ringers for your photos...it's a uniquely ruffly rose with many petals and the hot coral color fits as well.

thanks both of you!
It is not Dublin Bay, as that is one rose I do know and its flowers are a much darker red.
Rosarium Uetersen looks like a possibility, although I have never come across it for sale here.
I'm beginning to think it could be 'Pink Perpetue', as that is a rose I see for sale in garden centres. I will run this by my friend. She think she'd recognise the name if I came up with it.

Bloom shape does remind me also of Rose (Rosa 'Rosarium Uetersen') as previously mentioned.

Thank You!
Many thanks, everybody. It's got to be either 'Rosarium Uetersen' or 'Parade'

It will be interesting to see if she recognizes either name. Thanks for introducing me to Pink Perpetue. What a pretty rose. : )

Seminole Wind is the more common name of Rosarium Uetersen.

I suspect Seminole Wind was a name coined for the U.S. market. Renate is in Ireland, so it's probably known as Rosarium Uetersen there.

Gee, that's odd. I've only known it as Rosarium Uetersen. I don't recall ever hearing Seminole Wind before. But by any name it's a beauty.
