Very unique Cal; water lilies have their own distinct place in the garden. I've always wanted them but have yet to add a pond feature. Now I have something to plan for. Your scene looks refreshing on a hot summer day. Good job and a very nice capture. Thumbs up

Do you have fish also? (Also something I would like.)

Well, dang! First I was startled by the picture, thinking 'WTF?'
Then I scrolled down to see who made the banner and what the heck it was.
'Lily pads with stars'. A lovely description. And a most interesting banner.

Exceptional banner Cal!

Thank you everyone. Glad you liked it. Smiling

The lilies are growing in what was our swimming pool that we started converting into a pond earlier this year in February.

We almost gave up during the first 2 months ("What were we thinking?!"), but it turned out to be the most fun & rewarding project.

By August it looked like this http://cal3d.com/Pond2018/inde...

In October http://cal3d.com/Ducks%202018/...

And this happens every morning & evening now.

What a wonderful thing to do with a swimming pool. Reclaim it!

Love the ducks. Some of them really came in for the equivalent of a 'hard landing'. How long do they usually hang out on any given day? Are they migratory?
