Those Pest-y Houseplants: horticultural oil vs neem oil?

Are horticultural oil and neem oil 2 different things? Can neem oil be used for spider mites?

No, they are different. Neem oil is suppose to be effective on pests, including spider mites. I bought some Neem oil to mix myself off of eBay this past spring. However, I did not use it as widely as I should have. It only takes a small amount of cold pressed neem oil to make up your own. Which is way cheaper than buying a poison.

I did research Neem quit a bit before buying. Neem is safe for pets and humans as well. Next season I plan to use it more widely.
