As a guess ... Maybe it is purple sage (Salvia leucophylla) |

I'm pretty sure it's a Salvia.. I'd go with Larisa's guess of leucophylla.. It's a California native.. You might check out Betsy Clebsch's 2 books on Salvias if you wanted to learn more about them.. She's not far from you in Woodside. The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that it has never tried to contact us. |

I agree, it appears to be a variety of pretty Purple Sage (Salvia leucophylla) ~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt! ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! |
