Here is a pic of an invitro syriacus hybrid seedling growing from a seed harvested 2 weeks after pollination. It took about 1.3 months before the seeds showed signs of growth. The embryos were originally whitish green but the sterilizing agents caused a darkening effect along with the air exposed surface.

Hibiscus seeds germinated invitro has reached 15 and all seem to be growing at varying speeds despite identical conditions and media. Have roughly 40 additional seeds attempting some level of invitro Germination at the moment.

Currently a bit under the weather. The project is ongoing. The one perk of tissue culture is that it can remain stable over a long period of time normally up to 3 months. Transfer of seedlings into new media with growth hormones will occur when my cough goes away which should be early to midweek if all goes well.

@Mode you know how to do Embryo rescue? I would love to hear your choice of media.
