Yes, Lauer is a good vendor, I called him last year to find out some info that I couldn't find on the web page. He was so helpful and asked me to send a list of bonuses to choose from as he liked to have people get what they wanted. I sent a list of a few, and he sent them all plus more. Smiling

Not that I should be buying anything Whistling , but do you have to explicitly ask to get the pre-season email list? I bought plants from Superstition last year, but I didn't get any email. * pout *

Ah, I got an email from Superstition Gardens today, with their pre-order catalog. Odd that people are getting the email at different times; you'd think they would have e-mailed everyone at once. Confused

Dang, I just HAD to peek at that list, didn't I. Glare D'Oh!

Marilyn, they said that they would only send the email automatically to those who have placed PRE-catalog orders in the past or who requested it. If you placed an order during the regular season you don't get an email.

This will be the first year, in a Looong rime that I haven't made a "pre-season" with them, and, in fact, except for the HIPS "fundraiser", I don't plan on ordering anything, anywhere. When I received the e-mail from Rick & Roger, I sent them a reply, and it almost makes me feel guilty for not ordering anything *Blush* ! They have some really nice intros, again this year. And, while there are several other vendors who are great about the "customer service" part of the iris business, Superstition is, IMHO, the BEST ! You can't go wrong, by ordering from them Thumbs up

Liz, I DID ask for (and receive) the pre-season catalog a year ago. And I did say that I received this year's late, on the 24th, after other people got theirs. (Why did different people get their emails at different times? Confused )

(What I didn't say, breaking my promise to myself, was that I broke down and gave myself a birthday present Whistling , to be delivered later this year... BLUEBIRD OF HAPPINESS (only $7 Hurray! ) and REALITY CHECK. And now I've got my eye (elsewhere) on SUGAR HIGH, which I didn't get last year.)

These would be lovely planted by each other (if they bloom at the same time)

I kind of like the idea of a bird theme.... Last year I got BLACKBIRD LANDING, now this summer I will have BLUEBIRD OF HAPPINESS. Only birds I like, though, need apply. Whistling

(We used to get red-winged blackbirds migrating through at our old house (I miss them), and while I have never seen bluebirds here (Western or otherwise), I occasionally see (or hear) both Steller's Jays and California Scrub Jays, and I love them both. Since they are both "blue" birds and seeing or hearing them makes me happy, that's close enough. Whistling Hilarious! )
