@LorettaNJ What I am trying to convey, is that some major wholesale seeds suppliers, ( some also have packets in sizes for home gardeners, too) have treated seeds. Try not to confuse, the cultivar name of a specific Zinnia variety, with pretreated seeds! It may be, that Benary does produce & supply that variety, to vendors. But, rather doubt that it requires any special pre-treatment prior to sowing, or that it had any special treatment done to the seeds themselves. Zinnia seeds are usually really rather quite easily started.
Sown in June, directly, I have seen some Zinnia seeds sprout quickly, as in only just under three days time.

Ok, I never heard of the company Benary before but I see they develop and distribute seeds.

@LorettaNJ If you are interested about seed companies, I would suggest you research, about J Landreth, which was one of the oldest seed vendors in the U.S. & Comstock Ferre also, to see what has transpired. I tend to try & support smaller business, family owned seed vendors, at times.
Then, check out "Major Seed Suppliers' from around the world.... It just may give you some insight into what is going on in our world of seeds supply & the home gardener. There is also some sort of '"World Seed Bank", which is a rather interesting subject, too.

I'm still working with "Chocolate" varieties, of Cosmos atrosanguineus seeds, from two different sources this summer. Had a rather very late start. (Through Hammett, of NZ., & "Chocolate Flower Farm".)

No success, with actual color yellow, cv. 'Lemonade', even sourced from Germany.

While still waiting for 'Cupcakes' in white, with entirely fused petals, by seeds from Thompson & Morgan, of U.K.

Fascinating! I like regular cosmos so much, it would never occur to me to look for any kind of "new" ones.

There's been quite a number of newer Cosmos cv.'s which are offered now, as of more recently.

Glad you enjoyed them, Tiffany. I'd very first started to sowing Cosmos, a half Century ago.
