Hello, I've been hiking in Maui (Ke-anae Arboretum and Twin Falls), and I stumbled upon these weird berries growing everywhere. I couldn't tell if they were a vine or not, and they were one of the only plants not identified, but there were a lot of them (as well as a lot of wild ones all along the road to Hana). Does anyone know what they are?
I apologize for the picture quality, I couldn't get close enough to them.

As hypothesis - Ardisia (squamulosa?)

Thanks for the suggestion! Google searches seem to point to ardisia elliptica, as it's "invasive on Maui".
