I promised flower pictures (not daylilies yet), so here are some pics I took this morning of orchids in bloom.

This is an odd-ball for sure, but I love it! Its Psychopsis Mariposa 'Green Valley'

A couple of group shots from the Master Bath where lighting is perfect for orchids!

Beautiful, Arlene! A few months ago, I bought a few Phalaenopsis to brighten my winter. I have several in my bathroom, too. It has been quite a learning experience, What sort of conditions do you have in your bathroom that are ideal? Also, do you have your Phalaenopsis in clay or plastic pots set in clay outer pots?
Whatever you are doing, your collection is gorgeous, as is the room. I love the wall colour and artwork Lovey dubby

DD from Northern Kentucky texted me this last. Kids were in the basement and she went back and forth to watch outside with the neighbors. D'Oh! D'Oh! All OK as it passed over them.

@Valerie

The artwork is a picture I took in the back yard last year--it's a pic of a Thai Giant alocasia. In fact, some of the caladiums in front of the Thai Giant are just poking up.

The Master Bath has a huge glass block window that faces east. We also have a large fan in the room that is on 24/7 and both things make the phals and other orchids very happy. The phals are all in clay pots with medium size bark except the largest one. It's in a plastic pot that that open slits on the side. When he is out of bloom, I'm going to repot him in clay. The plastic just isn't working well, but it looked that plant had too many roots for an 8" pot. After being in plastic, a lot of those roots are rotted! Never again! One additional positive factor may be the stand they are one. It's bamboo and I purchased it from Amazon. Here is a picture from last month showing the stand and all the plants in bud.

Beautiful Arlene, and thanks for all the info. Love that glass block window in the bathroom. That has got to make the plants happy! Smiling

Folks, it's only mid-March! I remember that in Denver we would come down to FL every year at this time to go to the Gator Nationals to watch drag racing. Well, about 1980 it was so cold that the air was blue (probably -10 or -15) and we made it to the airport about 1 hr early despite abandoned cars in the snow drifts. As luck would have it, we were on the only plane that day that left the airport. That's living right!

Have positive thoughts for April, which isn't so very far away!

The first of my daffodils is blooming today. And some crocus. So Spring really is on it's way. Nice today and warmth really does feel like Spring.

The beginning of the green and blooming things for the year. I can't wait as I love, love, love Spring. The promise of so many growing things.

Here inside under lights I have many very baby pepper and tomato seedlings. Thumbs up
