Linda my arm still hurts this morning but it as bad. Sad
49/33 and mostly cloudy today. Still having flooding in Iowa. Fields below us are small lakes and the river is high but flooded yet below us anyway. We're on a hill so if we flood we'll need an Ark and we'll leave mosquitoes and Japanese Beetles off this time nodding nodding

Rolling on the floor laughing Ginny, I can see all of the nasties in little lifeboats chasing after your ark Hilarious!

Our snow is melting very slowly, but I am sure people in flood prone areas are glad of that. We are on a very high hill, so if we flood the game is over Blinking

Legalily said:Finally gave in and went to the doctor. Bronchitis just as I thought. Said it's viral and not bacterial so gave me a steroid shot, inhaler and cough medicine. Thought my arm would fall off it hurt so bad from the shot. Hopefully I'm healing now. Cough got a lot worse today. Maybe now I can think about planting Hurray! Hurray!

Grumbling Steroid shots should not be given in the arm. (Vaccines and B-12 are fine in the arm.) Rarely a steroid shot can cause muscle atrophy. If a bit of muscle shrinks up and leaves a big dimple in the butt, no biggie unless one is a swim suit model. If the deltoid muscle, which is much smaller, shrinks up, it could leave that arm partially crippled.

I got a medical assistant fired that gave a steroid shot to one of my Physician Assistant's patients in their arm. (He made several other idiot moves, as well, and the Physician Assistant was not knowledgeable enough to train him.) The money driven changes to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants instead of doctors and "medical assistants" instead of nurses is not beneficial to patients.

Ginny I hope you get better soon and your arm suffers no ill effects. A complaint to the office manager at that clinic is in order. They need to straighten up, if they don't want to be named in a lawsuit some day for some one's shrunken deltoid muscle and crippled arm. You could just let them read my post!

Linda a creeper is someone who skulks around for nefarious purposes, usually looking for something to steal or being a peeping tom. There's more theft out here in the country than you would think there would be, particularly in places with high levels of meth addiction. Fortunately that hasn't been as huge an issue here as in many places but I've had some tools wander off.

Thank You! Will for the answer! Was kind of thinking that way but never heard that term before. Maddening you have to deal with that issue out in the country. Thumbs down Crying

Wow, Diana! That's scary! Blinking Blinking Now that you mention it, Sparky used to get steroid shots for his allergies, years back, and it was always in the glute. It was an old doctor with only one even older nurse. Her hands were constantly visibly shaky, and it was kind of scary to be getting that shot from her. Blinking Blinking

Ginny I hope you don't wind up with a crippled arm. Sad Group hug

I had blood drawn from the inside of the elbow for testing, 12 years ago, and that Assistant did something terribly wrong bc from then on, it was quite painful when I would sort of quickly straighten out that elbow, for a good 9 months! Blinking Glare Glare Sighing!

Catching up..........hope you are well on your way to feeling better Ginny.
Love everyone's posts.
I planted a few 6-packs...dill, cilantro, Bachelors Buttons, alyssum ..and a lettuce bowl with assorted lettuces & some spinach. From seed. Today I planted some sweet peas. Hope the temp stays mild.
Rita...I found some old tomato seeds in my stash & went ahead & planted some. "Gardeners Delight", also known as Sugar Lump. Will see how everything does...the alyssum popped up already, now the trick is to keep it from getting too leggy.
Some of the seeds are old...but they'll never grow in their package in a coffee can in the closet Crossing Fingers! ..have spring fever..had to just go play in the dirt!

Didn't know that abt a steroid shot, thanx, also have had to work around the flooding rivers in Omaha down to Sioux city, feel for you guys, hope you stay dry! Glad the sick are recuperating. Stay well all!
Should you go first, and I remain, to walk the road alone- I'll live in Memory's garden, dear, with happy days we've known.

I tried to answer your tree mail 3 times, but the replies keep disappearing when I hit send.
Bottom line - benadryl in pill or cream form (or both at once) are good.
