Vandas in bloom were in the range of $45 to $65 and a nice Cattleya in bloom was at least $35.

Even the tiny little Tolumnias in a 2in. thumb pot were $15 to $20.

There's a lot to be said for buying a big Vanda in bloom, in the way of instant gratification. But when we can get big, healthy plants not in bloom for $14 each in Apopka, I'm certainly more inclined to take my chances and buy 3 or 4 there than one at a show.
